Abraham John Valpy
Abraham John Valpy (1787-1854) was a London printer and publisher. He was the son of Richard Valpy, Headmaster of the Reading School. He is best known for his publishing ventures in the area of classical literature, most noticeably the monumental series, Delphin Classics (143 volumes), primarily under the editorship of George Dyer, a friend of Lanfear and her sister and a fellow subscriber to Fatal Errors.
